چکیده
Combination of porous media and nanofluids is used to improve heat transfer around a vertical finned cylindrical antenna generating high flux. This technique ensures correct operation this electronic device under the conditions recommended by manufacturers. active component enclosed inside another concentric quasi-cylindrical cavity maintained at low temperature. Cooling carried out via highly materials various thermal conductivities, saturated with Water-Copper nanofluid whose volume fraction varies between 0% (pure water) 5%. Natural convective quantified means average Nusselt number. A new Nusselt-Rayleigh correlation proposed in 2.53 × 105 5.13 107 Rayleigh number range. The ratio conductivity material that water (base fluid) was varied 4 41.2. results obtained show that, as compared reference case working fluid, no present), improvements up 65% can be upper limit region span numbers considered. study has been performed numerical approach based on control method using SIMPLE algorithm.

Conjugate Heat Transfer of MHD non-Darcy Mixed Convection Flow of a Nanofluid over a Vertical Slender Hollow Cylinder Embedded in Porous Media
In this paper, conjugate heat transfer of magneto hydrodynamic mixed convection of nanofluid about a vertical slender hollow cylinder embedded in a porous medium with high porosity have been numerically studied. The Forchheimer’s modification of Darcy’s law was used in representing the nanofluid motion inside the porous media. The governing boundary layer equations were transformed to non-dimen...
متن کاملA Numerical Modeling for Natural Convection Heat Transfer in Porous Media With Generated Internal Heat Sources
In this paper a numerical method is used to study the unsteady state natural convection heat transfer within a confined porous media with uniform internal heat generation. The governing equations based on the Darcy model and Bossiness approximations are solved, using the finite difference Alternating Direction Implicit (ADI) method. The developed program was used to simulate natural convection ...
متن کاملNumerical Investigation into Natural Convection Heat Transfer Enhancement of Copper-water Nanofluid in a Wavy Wall Enclosure
Numerical investigations are performed into the natural convection heat transfer characteristics within a wavy-wall enclosure filled with Cu-water nanofluid. In the paper, the bottom wall of the enclosure has a wavy geometry and is maintained at a constant high temperature, while the top wall is straight and is maintained at a constant low temperature. The left and right walls of the enclosure ...

This paper experimentally studies the heat absorption performance of a heat sink with vertical embedded heat pipes in the aluminum blade. The cooling system with embedded heat pipes distributes heat from the CPU to both the base plate and the heat pipes, and then transfer heat from fins to the Environment. The thermal resistance and heat transfer coefficient are evaluated for natural convection...

In this work, the effects of electrical double layer (EDL) near the solid/ liquid interface, on three dimensional heat transfer characteristic and pressure drop of water flow through a rectangular microchannel numerically are investigated. An additional body force originating from the existence of EDL is considered to modify the conventional Navier-stokes and energy equations. These modified eq...
